Fourth of July

This year the 4th of July was a little different. We usually go to the Galaxy Game with our friends, but this year we stayed home. First we swam at my parents, then we came home and had our very own firework show!

WOW...11 Years Already!

David and I celebrated our 11 year anniversary in June. We decided we needed to go away to enjoy some R & R together. So David googled resorts on the internet, which scared me. We found a resort by the beach that had rooms for half off! That scared me even more. We decided that even if we stayed in Motel 6, we would just enjoy being together. We arrived at the resort on Friday, and our plan was to get ready and good out to a nice dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The resort was so amazing we didn't want to leave! We ended up eating dinner at the resort and took a walk on the beach! What an amazing weekend it was! The next day we layed by the pool all day and even watched dolphins swim past us every couple of hours. We enjoyed some spa time and David even got a mani and pedi! Thanks to David's mom, and the Peck Family we were able to enjoy each other without the children between us :)We can't wait to find another excuse to go back!

Isaac Turns Eight

I can't believe that 8 years ago today I gave birth to my only son! He has always held a special place in my heart, I think all boys do that :) To celebrate his special day we took him to Disneyland. We decided this year to start a new tradition, which is to take each of our children to Disneyland. They are able to choose a friend to bring since mom and dad can be a little boring. When I asked Isaac who he wanted to invite to join us, he said he wanted us to go as a family. We had such a great time! I love the way the staff at Disneyland make you feel so special on your birthday. Even Peter Pan saw his Birthday Button and wished him a happy birthday from the Electrical Parade float he was on. Isaac must feel a little older because he tried 2 new rides (which is a huge step for him) We were so proud of him! What a nice way to celebrate his special day! We love you Isaac and are so very proud of the sweet boy you have become.

I'm Still Alive

Ok, so I haven't blogged for 6 months. At this point I don't know where to start... So my goal is just to start fresh, and continue to blog regularly. I can say though that my focus the last 6 months have been productive. The time that I could have spent blogging I used, training for the Mud Run. Last year I posted a blog of David and his friends/family who participated in the Mud Run at Camp Pendleton. So this year a group of about 30 of us decided to do it, so starting January I have been trying to prepare. It was so much fun, I can't wait until next year. Not only do I feel healthier, I have picked up on a new hobby. Below is a group picture of all the family and friends that I ran with.

Letter From Santa

These days it is really hard to keep the spirit of Santa in our home. Alyssa doesn't "believe", and she informed Isaac who Santa really was this year! I knew that even though his sister told him Santa wasn't real in his heart he still wanted to believe. So a few days later Roxie received a letter in the mail from Santa! She was so happy. When Isaac read the letter to her, he knew Santa was real! He just wondered why Santa didn't send him a letter. I told him that if he doesn't believe in Santa, he won't send him a letter. Everyday he checks the mail to see if there is any for him. (I heard the letter is on its way) Thanks, Aunt Nancy for keeping the spirit of Santa in our home!!!

The Lights in Chino!

Yesterday we went as a family to walk the streets of Chino where the homes are famous for decorating for the holidays. Because it was so cold, most families stayed in their cars and just drove by to enjoy the lights. We had to get the full effect, so we walked along the sidewalk. The kids loved bundling up and seeing the houses full of lights! Roxie made it about 2 blocks before she fell asleep. That girl will sleep anywhere! We always enjoy being able to spend time together on Sunday as a family!

Thankfulness

I love this time of year, a time to reflect on all that we are thankful for. I definitely have a lot in my life to be thankful for - My amazing husband, my three beautiful children, my parents (including LaNore), my siblings, my forever friends, my job, my health, and the list goes on... Most importantly I am thankful for the Lord. I am forever indebted to Him for all the blessings he has blessed me with each and every day, including you :)

Below are pictures of our Thanksgiving weekend. Thursday we went to my parents and enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast with my family. It didn't end there, we enjoyed another Thanksgiving feast on Friday with David's family. I enjoyed spending time with our families, and of course eating! (we all know how much I love that)
